Gear oil: lubricating oil of transmission and rear axle.

      Gear oil mainly refers to the lubricating oil of transmission and rear axle. It differs from oil in terms of use, composition and performance. Gear oils are mainly used to lubricate gears and bearings, to prevent wear and rust, and to help gear heat dissipation.


        Automobile gear oil is used in gear transmission mechanism such as automobile steering gear, transmission and driving bridge. Because the surface pressure of gear transmission is high, gear oil plays an important role in gear lubrication, anti-wear, cooling, heat dissipation, anticorrosion and rust prevention, washing and reducing the impact and noise of tooth surface.


        Gear oil should have good wear resistance, load resistance and proper viscosity. In addition, it should also have good thermal oxidation stability, anti foaming property, water separation performance and rust resistance. Because the gear load is generally above 490 MPa (MPa), and the load of hyperbolic tooth surface is higher than 2942MPa, and the amount of gear oil is about 6% ~ 8% of the total oil. Gear oil is a lubricating oil with excellent performance


       Gear oil is mainly composed of petroleum lube base oil or synthetic lubricating oil, which is composed of extreme pressure antiwear additive and oiliness agent. It is used for all kinds of gear transmission devices to prevent wear, abrasion and sintering of tooth surfaces, prolong its service life and improve transmission power efficiency. The hyperbolic tooth surface load is more than 2942MPa. In order to prevent the oil film rupture from abrasion and abrasion, the extreme pressure antiwear agent is often added in the gear oil, and sulfur phosphorus or sulfur phosphorus nitrogen type additive is commonly used.
